Chicago Rap Blazes Up from the Streets →

It is an attempt to summarize what’s going on in Chicago right now, big picture style. It is fairly dense with info but there’s a lot to talk about. Want to draw special attention to DJ Amaris of TKO, who was the first one to really break Keef & co’s music in clubs here last year, and also threw shows for him, Shady, Lil Reese and Lil Durk at colleges and events back in 2011. He (as well as other DJs in the scene like Victoriouz) has been an important missing piece of this story, and was also a good interview; I may post the full transcript sometime soon.
